Willow is still working through a lot of issues about her magic and James should be able to easily figure that out. It's not like she keeps it a secret to begin with, but she does give little clues, like looking away, a twitch of her muscles, that sort of thing. She used to be pretty meek, so at times she'll come off like that, but she's much more confident in general now and she'll step up when she has to and it's easy to tell when she's getting angry. Her magic is shown when she starts concentrating. It's similar to when someone stares off into space, only she's very focused about it. If she's working on a powerful dark spell, her eyes will turn fully black.
Details: Um, she generally wears an assortment of clothes, some of them odd outfits, but they seem to work for her. She expresses a lot in her eyes, head motions, and hands. She talks with her hands, so he can probably pick up minute details from her body language.
